Biography
Hilmenna (Anna Serdiuk) is a Ukrainian artist born and raised in Mariupol, a city on the shores of the Sea of Azov. From an early age, she was surrounded by nature, art and cultural diversity, developing a deep sensitivity to atmosphere, light and the emotional language of landscapes.
After studying at the A. I. Kuindzhi Art School in Mariupol, she continued her education in architecture and earned a Master's degree in Architecture and Urban Planning in Kharkiv. Her background in both fine art and architecture continues to shape her artistic vision.
In 2022, following the outbreak of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Hilmenna was forced to leave her homeland and begin a new chapter in Germany. The experience of displacement, loss and rebuilding profoundly influenced both her life and artistic practice.
Today, Hilmenna lives and works in Germany. Inspired by nature, philosophy and psychology, she creates atmospheric paintings that explore themes of resilience, self-discovery and inner harmony. Her paintings can be found in private collections across Europe, the United States and the United Kingdom.
