General
I process personal data only as far as needed to run this website, answer enquiries and handle commissions.
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH (Berlin, Germany). When you visit a page, data such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type and operating system is recorded automatically. This is necessary for secure operation of the website. Log files are deleted after seven days at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
Contact form and email enquiries
If you write to me through the form or by email, I process your details (name, email address, phone number, type of enquiry, message and, where applicable, photos) to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (enquiry and contract preparation) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering general enquiries). The form is handled by the plugin Contact Form 7, and your details are sent to me by email. I keep them until your enquiry is dealt with. If a commission follows, I keep the documents for as long as the law requires.
Please only send me photos you have the rights to, and in which no people are visible without their consent.
Cookies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies. The plugin Polylang stores your language setting. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Fonts
The fonts used on this website are hosted on my own server. No data is transferred to Google when you visit the site.
Digital drafts
For drafts of my commissioned works I use ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Adobe Photoshop. Your photo may be transmitted to the respective provider. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiating and performing a contract). I do not paint people and ask for photos without recognisable persons.
On the pages about commissions you will find a button to contact me via WhatsApp. Simply opening the page does not transmit any data to WhatsApp. Only when you click the button does WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) open, and WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies there. If you write to me, I process your message and phone number to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
External links
This website links to other providers, for example Google, Instagram and Facebook. Data is transferred to them only when you click a link. Their privacy policies apply there.
Encryption
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption (https) for security.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to anna@hilmenna.com. You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart.
